Allweather Wood would like to introduce our newest branded product line, Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) certified Humboldt Redwood. Available now to our dealers and commercial customers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and the entire Pacific Northwest, the Humboldt Redwood line of sustainable decking, fencing, garden, and landscaping products offers homeowners a unique set of benefits:

Naturally Beautiful

The natural beauty of Humboldt Redwood is prized by homeowners, contractors, and architects alike. The rich red and creamy yellow tones of genuine Humboldt Redwood decking and fencing products can instantly warm up a backyard or outdoor living space. Plastic composite lumber can’t quite compare to the warmth, color, and character of Humboldt Redwood.

Naturally Strong

Humboldt Redwood has a shear strength five times greater than plastic composite lumber, which means it does not split as easily. In addition, Humboldt Redwood can span greater distances without bending, so it requires half the substructure (24” on center vs. 12” on center for plastic composite lumber).

Naturally Durable

Naturally occurring tannins in Humboldt Redwood heartwood render it resistant to decay and insects. By maintaining a Humboldt Redwood deck properly, it can last 25 years or more. After the end of its useful life, it can be easily reused or recycled. Humboldt Redwood also naturally biodegrades and will not last forever in local landfills.

Easy to Maintain

With minimal ongoing effort, Humboldt Redwood’s original beauty can be easily maintained, or it can be left to weather naturally with virtually no maintenance.

Sustainably Grown

Humboldt Redwood is FSC certified from well-managed forestlands in Northern California. Humboldt Redwood products are harvested and manufactured in such a way as to minimize impact on the environment and local communities.

For Humboldt Redwood product availability in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and the entire Pacific Northwest, Contact Us today and speak with one of our sales team. And, to learn more about our environmentally friendly decking, fencing, garden, and landscaping products, visit the Humboldt Redwood website.

Welcome to the new Allweather Wood website. By looking at our new website, you can see that we are in the initial phase of changing our current business model from making and servicing primarily treated dimensional wood products, to a wider range of home improvement products that will bring many real wood options to builders and homeowners. Our goal in the near term is to develop and service a more encompassing range of products for a variety of outdoor uses and help our dealer customers capitalize on smaller home improvement projects that seem to be the strongest business opportunities in the current housing market.

We have determined that the current economy is the new economy, and that new housing starts might slowly increase in the next few years, but home improvement will be the primary focus for homeowners working to bring their current home value back into range with values in the past. Seems that many people in our business continually talk about economic improvement and “hanging on” through this downturn, but the reality shows that those in our industry need to accept the market in its current state and make the adjustments. Looking around at the different segments of our business, from mills and manufacturers to distributors, dealers, and builders; those that have been progressive and found new niche’s, or increased their focus on current strong segments of their business, seem to be faring well in the new economy while others are treading red ink. A major plus for businesses that have pursued new markets and/or strengthened existing lesser categories, is that they will be in position to capitalize on their profitability with increased housing starts in future years.

At Allweather Wood we are very excited about adding new categories and improving a few areas that complement our current offerings. We are looking at new technologies and challenging our locations to help in finding and/or developing new products that will give our dealer customers the product offerings that will lure homeowners and builders to their businesses. One of our main objectives is to develop product offerings that will greatly enhance the beauty of their property and keep that initial clean look for years to come. It is very much our hope that those businesses battling for continued sales and margin growth in our industry find opportunities that lead to a new vigor and excitement in the future.
